Job summary

A major industrial gas provider in Northampton County seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide vital engineering support across various plants. The role encompasses overseeing mechanical integrity, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing inspections related to fixed equipment. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience. This position will require travel and offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operational and engineering environments.
  • Experience in equipment specification, maintenance, inspection, and testing of piping and vessels.
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, or 40-60 nights per year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for operational ASU, CO2, H2, and onsite plants.
  • Manage compliance of regulatory inspection programs for pressure vessels.
  • Approve all piping and vessel inspection and repair procedures.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to follow through on projects
Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects
Understanding of regulatory and industry standards
Knowledge of ASME B31.3, API, NBIC codes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
