Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide support for the operations of fixed and fired equipment. You will manage safety programs and conduct risk assessments, playing a key role in ensuring reliability and compliance within the plant environment. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the refinery or petrochemical industry. This role involves both office and plant work, with a small percentage of travel required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Preferred refinery or petrochemical industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage programs for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Conduct risk assessments and document changes in procedures.

Skills

Familiar with API Recommended Practices regarding Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes

Proficiency with ASME Section I and Section VIII

Familiar with quantitative risk management tools

Familiar with common NDE methods used in the petrochemical industry

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
