Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. in Houston seeks a Sr Analyst, Fixed Assets to support monthly fixed asset accounting, close, reconciliations, and reporting for our client.

This role processes recurring fixed asset transactions, prepares journal entries, and supports audits and SOX controls. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and experience with fixed assets, monthly close, and financial reporting, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly fixed asset transactions in the UGL and EGD systems, including mass additions, mass retirements, depreciation, and overhead unitizations.
• Prepare monthly system reconciliations and support the fixed asset close process.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations, PPE rollforwards, and related schedules.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for Tax, Regulatory, FP&A, and other partners.
• Support internal and external audit requests and prepare required SOX reports and documentation.
• Perform manual asset unitizations.
• Research and resolve fixed asset accounting or system issues.
• Maintain clear supporting documentation and internal controls.
• Assist the Accounting Supervisor and Capital Accounting team with ad hoc projects.
