Job summary

IGT seeks an experienced Senior Fixed Assets Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role manages fixed assets and capital projects from inception to capitalization and disposal, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

The successful candidate will partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Tax, and regional Finance to maintain asset lifecycles, perform close activities, and support acquisitions and integration of fixed assets in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including fixed assets, capital projects, or corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and property, plant and equipment accounting.
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end close activities and financial reporting schedules.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication with Finance stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and reporting for fixed assets and capital projects per U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting lifecycle including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and impairment.
• Analyze CIP and capital project balances with project owners and Finance teams for timely capitalization.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for fixed assets.
• Assist with acquisition and purchase accounting for fixed assets and integration tasks.
• Support FP&A and business Finance with depreciation forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure SOX controls and internal controls over fixed assets are followed.
• Prepare schedules and respond to audit requests related to fixed assets and capitalization.
