Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is assisting a leading petrochemical manufacturer in Westlake, Louisiana, in recruiting a Fixed Asset Reliability Engineer to strengthen plant reliability and asset integrity.

You will lead preventative strategies for fixed equipment, supervise RCFA investigations, interpret ASME/API codes, and partner with operations and maintenance to boost performance across the asset base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with metallurgy-related coursework preferred.
• 10+ years in fixed equipment design, fabrication, inspection, or related petrochemical/refining work.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME and API codes, equipment integrity practices, and NDT methods.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply P&IDs, drawings, and construction documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to work in an industrial plant environment including confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for fixed equipment: vessels, exchangers, tanks, piping systems.
• Develop inspection, maintenance, and repair strategies to ensure integrity and reliability.
• Lead RCFA investigations to identify corrective actions.
• Review ASME/API codes and standards for design, repair, rerating, and alterations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, turnaround, and engineering to improve asset performance.
