Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks an Accounting professional to serve as the fixed asset SME for a $1B portfolio. You’ll manage day-to-day SAP fixed asset activities, ASC 842 lease compliance, and month-end close to ensure accuracy and compliance.

This on-site role offers opportunities to drive process improvements, collaborate with capital budgeting teams, and strengthen audit readiness. Strong Excel skills and US GAAP expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Eight+ years of accounting experience including fixed asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of SAP fixed asset module (S/4 HANA or ECC).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure fixed assets in SAP S/4 HANA.
• Research and troubleshoot fixed asset issues with system expertise.
• Execute month-end close processes for fixed assets.
• Prepare fixed asset schedules and reconciliations.
• Oversee lease accounting compliance per ASC 842.
• Coordinate with budget and audit teams.
