Virginia Department of Social Services is seeking a Fiscal Technician Senior for the Newport News District Office to manage financial transactions and serve as fiscal agent for child support cases. You will verify calculations, balance accounts, and process receipts, deposits, and disbursements while communicating with clients and employers as needed.

Experience with accounting practices and ability to interpret policies, analyze data, and handle multiple priorities is required.

Formación

• Knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping principles and/or practices.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to independently research cases to resolve moderately difficult problems
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
• Ability to analyze legal and financial data and reports
• Ability to perform mathematical computations and reconciliation of financial data
• Ability to work with a diverse audience to communicate effectively orally and in writing with general public.
• Skill in keyboarding, use of calculators, a personal computer, spreadsheet and word processing applications (Microsoft Word and Excel), and automated information/financial systems.
