Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated working experience with GAAP, accounts payable, and accounts receivable practices; use of Microsoft Word and Excel in recording, retrieving, and maintaining transactions and records.
• Recent demonstrated experience applying and adapting established accounting methods to a variety of fiscal transactions and records.
• Recent demonstrated abilities related to ARMICS review and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide oversight, guidance, and support to DOC stakeholders regarding financial/accounting practices and Cardinal usage in line with policies and guidelines.
• Perform accounts payable/receivable duties to ensure transactions are processed accurately and timely per state and agency procedures.
• Maintain accounting files to allow immediate retrieval for audit purposes and respond to inquiries; support the Director of Financial Services and the Assistant Accounting Manager.
