Job summary

Whatcom Community College is seeking a Fiscal Analyst 3 to serve as a senior fiscal and technical resource, supporting the Senior Accountant in banking, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll. The role requires GAAP application, complex reconciliations, and development of improvements to fiscal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional-level experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, finance, or a closely related fiscal field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience that enables performance of duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports Senior Accountant with complex accounting and fiscal activities across banking, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Analyses data, prepares and reviews general ledger entries, and reconciles accounts.
• Researches discrepancies and provides recommendations to improve procedures and controls.
