Job summary

Micron Technology seeks an Engineer II for the FPT team to validate enterprise SSD firmware, develop test strategies, and automate workflows. You’ll collaborate with firmware engineers, test developers, and AI/ML practitioners to improve product quality and leverage data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities include designing verification plans for NVMe features, developing Python automation, and applying ML concepts to enhance test efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS/EE/CE or related field with about 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries, plus experience with test automation and debugging.
• Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate firmware verification plans for NVMe features and customer requirements.
• Design test methodologies to validate firmware functionality and reliability.
• Analyze regression failures, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate findings.
• Develop Python-based test automation, reporting, and data collection tools.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve test efficiency and workflow automation.
