Job summary

Landis+Gyr AG is seeking a Sr Engineer, Firmware Quality Assurance to drive testing across firmware and software for metering and network products. The role focuses on designing tests, automating firmware validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality in an international context.

You will mentor peers, contribute to test strategy, and participate in building scalable QA processes within Landis+Gyr’s Smart Grid solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing embedded Linux systems, user and kernel space.
• Proficiency with networking protocols (IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP).
• Experience with Python-based test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of QA processes and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution and management of test plans and cases.
• Automate manual firmware tests and integrate into CI/CD.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers and product teams.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing practices.
