Job summary

Landis+Gyr is seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to join our global energy technology team. You will design, execute, and manage test plans across software and firmware projects, working closely with cross-functional teams on validation of Smart Grid solutions.

The role emphasizes robust testing of web services and HTML5 interfaces, with opportunities to contribute to test automation, environment setup, and continuous improvement of quality processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of test development and engineering experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform engineering duties for projects of moderate complexity.
• Create, revise, and execute test plans and tests cases.
• Develop manual and automated functional and regression tests for web services and web UIs.
• Collaborate with software/firmware developers on verification and coverage.
• Identify defects, write defect reports, and track issues through to resolution.
