Job summary

Ixana in the San Francisco Bay Area is hiring senior firmware engineers to build the next generation Wi‑R transceivers and SoCs on Cortex‑M and RISC‑V MCUs. You will own bare‑metal bring‑up, real‑time drivers, and architect for power, sensors and communication interfaces while shipping a reference firmware SDK used by Tier‑1 brands.

The role requires 5+ years in wearables/IoT firmware, a track record of squeezing microwatts from MCUs, and comfort with leading code reviews, tool‑chain decisions,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production firmware experience for wearables, medical or IoT hardware.
• Proven track record squeezing microwatts out of Cortex‑M or other MCU.
• Comfortable leading code reviews, tool‑chain decisions and mentoring junior talent.
• Bonus: RTOS, BLE stack surgery, PCB layout literacy or neural/biometric sensing.

Responsibilities

• Bare-metal bring‑up of next‑gen Wi‑R transceivers and SoCs on Cortex‑M / RISC‑V MCUs.
• Real‑time drivers & architecture for I2C, SPI, BLE, DMA, sensors and power domains.
• Ship a reference firmware SDK that Tier‑1 consumer brands will use.
