Job summary

Ixana seeks an experienced embedded firmware engineer to lead bare-metal bring-up for Wi-R SoCs and Cortex-M/RISC-V platforms. You will architect low-power firmware stacks and deliver a production-ready SDK for tier-one partners.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, and hands-on MCU debugging. Relocation support, equity, and a competitive package accompany a fast-growing startup.

What You’ll Do

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years building embedded firmware for wearables, medical, or IoT devices
• Strong C/C++ skills and deep experience with low-level MCU debugging
• Proven track record of power-optimized embedded development on Cortex-M or similar platforms
• Comfort leading technical decisions and collaborating across teams
• Bare metal embedded C expertise

Preferred:

• Experience with RTOS, BLE stack customization, or neural/biometric sensing
• PCB-level hardware familiarity or embedded Linux experience
• Experience building and shipping SDKs for third-party use

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per annum ≈ $225k - $290k Bay Area equivalent after cost of living
