Job summary

Ixana is seeking an enthusiastic embedded software intern to join our R&D team in Indiana. You’ll gain hands-on experience bringing up Wi-R SoCs and Cortex-M/RISC-V platforms while building low-power firmware stacks.

You’ll work with cross-functional hardware and firmware teams, contributing to device drivers, sensors, and SDKs, and you’ll sharpen debugging skills using oscilloscopes and JTAG in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in embedded systems and low-power hardware.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming and MCU debugging.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Curiosity about communication protocols and power optimization.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bare-metal bring-up of Wi-R SoCs and Cortex-M/RISC-V platforms
• Help build and optimize low-power firmware stacks (I2C, SPI, BLE, DMA, sensors, power management)
• Support firmware SDK development used by hardware partners
• Debug at the register level using oscilloscopes and JTAG tools
• Participate in code reviews and toolchain decisions
• Collaborate with hardware, product, and design engineers
