Job summary

Entrust, headquartered in Minnesota, is seeking a Firmware Engineer II to join our product development team. You will design real-time embedded software for control systems in complex machines used for identity-centric security solutions.

You'll contribute to requirements, design, coding, testing, and documentation, with collaboration across hardware, software, and QA. This role offers a flexible, global workplace with opportunities for growth in a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 3+ years of embedded software/hardware/firmware experience in product development.
• 2+ years of C/C++ in an embedded environment.
• Experience with RTOS such as VxWorks, Zephyr or Embedded Linux.
• Experience with Git or Subversion and development processes.
• Willing to work in the US with unrestricted work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Real-time embedded system software design for control systems in complex machines.
• Develop requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of embedded software components.
• Participate in design and code reviews, hardware/software integration and test.
• Collaborate to understand trade-offs and communicate status to management.
• Contribute to standards and best practices and improve team efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues through evaluation, modification, and coordinated product support.
