Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH, seeks a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and support firmware for high-speed cables and related products. You will work on embedded systems with ARM MCUs, contributing to product teams and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing and QA.

The role requires hands-on firmware development, I2C and SWD expertise, and strong English communication. On-site work with a focus on reliability and quality is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
• 5+ years firmware development experience.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ and constrained Flash.
• Strong I2C knowledge and debugging.
• Experience with SWD debugging and CMIS not required.
• Familiar with source control and code reviews.
• Excellent English communication.
• Self-starter who can work with incomplete details.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug and support firmware for high speed IO cables and thermal loopbacks.
• Contribute as a firmware resource within cross-functional product teams.
• Provide firmware support for product qualification, testing and manufacturing.
• Mentor other team members and ensure firmware is well documented.
• Work with manufacturing applications and visiting plants during ramp-up.
