Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Firmware Design Engineer in Goleta, CA to analyze requirements, decompose problems, design sub-systems, model, simulate, and verify hardware/software integration in advanced aerospace systems.

You will collaborate in integrated product teams on airborne, naval, and land-based military applications, performing digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Digital Signal Processing experience.
Experience with Intel/Altera and/or AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets.
Experience in digital hardware design and firmware integration.

Responsibilities

Work in Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department for Raytheon/RTX.
Engage in new product development based on customer specifications.
Collaborate in integrated product teams to design and manufacture complex systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.
Perform detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development.
Conduct circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, documentation, verification, testing, and integration of hardware and software.
