Job summary

Wavelynx Technologies, LLC. is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop and optimize embedded firmware for our access control hardware.

You will work with hardware, software, and systems teams to design robust firmware managing NFC/RFID communications, secure element integrations, cryptographic protocols, and network services. The role emphasizes OTA/FOTA update mechanisms, tamper‑resistance, and seamless field reliability across OSDP, TLS/TCP/IP, RS‑485, BLE, and Ethernet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in embedded software development.
• Experience with RTOS and ARM Cortex‑M MCUs.
• Familiarity with RF/NFC protocols and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain bare‑metal and RTOS firmware for readers and controllers.
• Optimize RFID/NFC field processing (13.56 MHz) and related protocols.
• Integrate mobile credentials using Secure Elements and SAMs.
• Implement secure comms (OSDP, TLS/TCP/IP, RS‑485, BLE, Ethernet).
• Develop OTA/FOTA firmware update mechanisms with tamper resistance.
• Troubleshoot networking across serial, IP, and RF interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware during design reviews and power management tuning.
• Drive automated firmware tests and CI/CD for HIL environments.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for RF/time/protocol issues.
