Job summary
HYVE Solutions, a TD SYNNEX subsidiary, seeks a Principal firmware architect to own the OpenBMC-based BMC stack for AI/GPU server platforms. You will shape the manageability, telemetry, power/thermal control, and security features, working closely with hardware teams and hyperscaler customers.
You will lead Bring-up across EVT/DVT/PVT, implement secure boot and firmware recovery, and develop tooling for factory provisioning and fleet deployment, mentoring engineers and guiding architecture
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of embedded/firmware development, with OpenBMC experience and production-grade delivery.
- Strong C/C++ and embedded Linux skills; OpenBMC, Redfish, IPMI, and platform management expertise.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the OpenBMC-based firmware architecture for AI/GPU servers, including manageability stack and Redfish interfaces.
- Develop and integrate power, thermal, fan-control, and sensor monitoring firmware with power/thermal teams.
- Implement secure boot, firmware update/recovery, RoT integration, and robust error handling.
- Lead firmware bring-up across EVT/DVT/PVT and drive root-cause analysis across firmware and hardware.
- Deliver tooling for factory provisioning, diagnostics, and fleet deployment; support field issue resolution.
