Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Principal-level firmware architect to own the OpenBMC-based BMC firmware for AI/compute server platforms. You will define the architecture, manage telemetry interfaces, and drive secure boot and update strategies across EVT/DVT/PVT cycles.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded/firmware development experience.
• Hands-on OpenBMC development experience.
• Proven delivery of server-class firmware into production; hyperscale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the OpenBMC-based firmware architecture for AI/GPU server platforms, including manageability stack, Redfish interfaces, IPMI, and platform telemetry.
• Develop and integrate power, thermal, fan-control, and sensor monitoring firmware with power/thermal teams.
• Implement secure boot, firmware update/recovery, RoT integration, and robust error handling to meet hyperscaler needs.
• Lead firmware bring-up across EVT/DVT/PVT, debug at board and system level, and drive root-cause analysis with cross-team collaboration.
• Deliver firmware tooling and features for factory provisioning, diagnostics, and fleet deployment; support field issue resolution at scale.
• Set firmware development methodology, review code, mentor engineers; represent firmware architecture to customers and executives.
