EnvelopiQ in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Fire Systems Technician / Technical Team Lead to oversee fire alarm installations, commissioning, and service activities. You will lead field technicians, mentor staff, and ensure code-compliant delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade school in electrical/fire protection preferred.
• 6+ years in fire alarm and low‑voltage systems installation, programming, servicing or commissioning.
• NICET Level II certification required; Level III preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and life safety codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire alarm system installations, upgrades, commissioning, and service activities.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and field support to technicians and junior team members.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues and troubleshooting challenges.
• Support Sales Engineers during customer evaluations, solution discussions, and technical reviews.
• Promote best practices related to installation quality, safety, documentation, and customer service.
• Review blueprints, submittals, specifications, and as‑built documentation to ensure successful project delivery.
