Job summary

The position requires extensive firefighting experience, strong supervisory skills, and compliance with NFPA 1582 and ICS/NIMS certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 10 years of progressively accountable firefighting experience with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Must meet NFPA-1582 physical standards and be able to wear SCBA.
• Possess NFPA/NIMS certifications and valid SC driver’s license; can obtain federal clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and supervises fire protection activities.
• Directs and acts as team leader for control and extinguishment of structural, wildland, and vehicular fires.
• Responds to medical, hazardous materials, and related emergency calls; provides training and safety programs.
