Job summary
Northstar Fire Protection of Texas, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Plan Reviewer to assess design deliverables for compliance with NFPA standards, project specs, and quality expectations.
You will perform technical reviews of submittals, hydraulic calculations, and installation prints to ensure constructability and code adherence. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with designers to resolve deficiencies and improve quality
Qualifications
- 7+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, hydraulic calculations, and industry standards.
- NICET Level III or IV certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK.
- Demonstrated ability to review and interpret fire protection submittals, hydraulic calculations, field prints, and fabrication stock lists.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Review fire sprinkler submittal packages for accuracy and code compliance.
- Review hydraulic calculations to ensure performance and code compliance.
- Verify layouts, piping, seismic bracing, hangers, and installation details.
- Review field installation prints for consistency with approved drawings.
- Review fabrication stock lists and material reports for accuracy.
- Identify design discrepancies and coordinate with designers to resolve issues.
