Job summary
Jacobs seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/SME to lead fire protection engineering across Data Center projects. You will mentor staff, develop standards, and ensure technical excellence while coordinating with clients, AHJs, and other disciplines to meet stringent reliability and code requirements.
You will collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to shape fire protection strategies for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- PE license required.
- 15+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
- Experience as technical lead or SME on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Fire Protection Engineering Senior Engineer/SME for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
- Provide technical leadership for fire protection design, code analysis, and life safety engineering.
- Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
- Lead design reviews and QA/QC across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with clients, AHJs, and internal teams to meet code and reliability requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and support discipline growth.
