TekWissen is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for an onsite, 12-month temporary assignment in Chandler, AZ. The pay rate is $59.35–$77.03 per hour, and the role requires extensive experience in fire protection within semiconductor, AI datacenter, or life sciences industries.

The successful candidate will lead fire protection design efforts, coordinate with multiple disciplines, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff as part of a strong engineering team.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years in fire protection in semiconductor, AI datacenter or life sciences/pharma industries.
• Experience identifying sprinkler systems and sizing fire-water pumps/storage to meet demand.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14 and related standards; coordination with AHJ.

Responsabilités

• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of mechanical fire protection work in a project or staff group.
• Performs complex engineering tasks including resolving conflicting design requirements and material issues.
• Specifies fire protection equipment such as pumps and storage tanks and sizing calculations.
• Coordinates efforts between engineering groups, client, suppliers, and contractors.
• Mentors designers and drafters and supports development of engineering procedures.
