Job summary

Disney Parks Experiences and Products in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead Owner’s Representative activities from concept through sustainment on Disneyland Resort projects. You will coordinate design, manage contract documents, and ensure adherence to fire protection codes and NFPA standards.

The role requires CA PE in Fire Protection, extensive field experience, and strong expertise in fire modeling and design coordination.

Qualifications

6+ years of fire protection experience.
CA Professional Engineer in Fire Protection.
Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA standards.
OSHA compliance experience with codes and standards development.
Proven field experience in design, coordination, and construction of fire protection systems.
Knowledge of computer modeling tools for fire and smoke spread and egress analysis.

Responsibilities

Act as Owner’s Technical Representative on projects from concept through sustainment.
Witness signing and sealing of construction documents as needed.
Manage the design and development of contract documents with in-house and outside resources to meet scopes, schedules and budgets.
Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations for code compliance.
Review drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with local and state codes.
Site visits to problem solve issues and minimize schedule impacts.
Collaborate with internal teams to enforce Disney design guidelines, standards, and details.
Resolve design compliance issues relating to project requirements and item specifications.
