Job summary
The Walt Disney Company in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to support the Disney Parks Experiences and Products portfolio. You will lead fire protection design, coordinate with internal/external teams, and act as Owner’s Technical Representative from concept to sustainment across Disneyland Resort and related properties.
Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and calculations for code compliance, leading project documentation, and ensuring fire protection systems
Qualifications
- 6+ years of fire protection experience.
- CA Professional Engineer in Fire Protection.
- Strong knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA Standards.
- OSHA compliance experience with codes and standards such as NFPA, ASTM, ICC, CFR.
- Proven field experience in design, integration/coordination and construction of fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of computer modeling tools for fire and smoke spread and egress analysis.
- Owner’s representation and AHJ capacity.
Responsibilities
- Act as Owner’s Technical Representative on projects from concept through sustainment.
- Witness signing and sealing of construction documents as needed.
- Manage design and development of contract documents with internal and external resources.
- Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition per specifications and codes.
- Review drawings, calculations and specs for code compliance.
- Conduct site visits to address issues and minimize schedule impacts.
