Positions exist at Nuclear Facilities Engineer 2 or 3 levels, with responsibilities scaling to leadership and program oversight. Onsite work in Los Alamos, NM, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform detailed technical reviews of facility design documents and provide actionable comments.
• Strong written and verbal communication of compliance concerns to management, customers, peers, and craftsmen.
• Expertise in design or plan review of fire protection and life safety features or related hazard analysis.
• Proven leadership in mentoring junior engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME fire protection and life safety technical support to facility management and programs.
• Review designs, plans, exemptions, and DOE/NFPA compliance across projects.
• Oversee fire protection system testing, commissioning, and maintenance oversight.
• Lead and mentor staff; liaise with safety basis professionals and management.
