Job summary

Summit Fire Consulting is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to lead and direct teams on building and facility projects nationwide, focusing on fire protection design, code compliance, and risk analysis.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, PE licensure, and a track record in budgets, proposals, and multi-project management within the construction and consulting sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection.
• Professional Engineering License, preferably Fire Protection.
• Current NCEES profile.
• NFPA and SFPE memberships preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in building code consulting and fire protection engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering services and direction for fire protection projects.
• Design and evaluate fire suppression, alarm and smoke control systems.
• Conduct building code and fire code consulting for construction industry.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and proposals; engage in client development.
• Perform on-site inspections and project oversight.
