Job summary

McClure Engineering seeks an experienced Fire Protection PE to lead design and analysis of life safety systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. You will mentor staff, ensure code compliance, and deliver cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, documentation quality, and coordination with architects, engineers, and AHJs, while supporting multi-disciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of experience in fire protection engineering design.
• Proficiency with fire protection software (HydraCALC, AutoSPRINK, PyroSim, Revit, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC/IFC, and local fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead fire protection and life safety system projects.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with AHJs, architects, and other engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure design quality.
