Vanderweil Engineers in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design fire protection and fire alarm systems for diverse projects. Hybrid schedule available, up to 2 days remote per week.

You will lead design and layout using Revit, AutoCAD and HydraCALC, collaborate with design teams, perform fieldwork and mentor junior staff. Requires BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire Protection Eng, and EIT/PE and LEED a plus; travel to local sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing fire protection and fire alarm systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Revit or AutoCAD knowledge.
• EIT, PE is a plus.
• LEED is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design of fire suppression and fire alarm systems for diverse projects.
• Design and layout automatic sprinklers, standpipes, high rise pumps, gaseous agent suppression, fire alarm, voice evac, mass notification, and smoke control.
• Coordinate with design team to lead related portions of construction planning.
• Field reports, RFI responses and FP/FA shop drawing reviews.
• Design and layout systems and create drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and HydraCALC.
• Survey existing project sites to document conditions and assess FP/FA infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff.
