Port Houston is seeking a Senior Fire Inspector to lead complex fire prevention inspections and ensure life safety across port facilities. You will supervise Fire Inspectors, review plans, coordinate with contractors, and enforce federal, state, and local regulations as well as Port Houston fire codes.

The role requires strong knowledge of NFPA standards, experience with industrial/marine facilities, and the ability to manage documentation, testing, and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or related field preferred.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in fire inspection or related work.
• 8+ years of related firefighting experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provides leadership and reviews performance of Fire Inspectors.
• Identify hazards with operational leaders and verify fire protection measures support safe operations.
• Lead routine inspections for new and existing buildings and fire protection systems.
• Conduct and oversee monthly fire extinguisher and hydrant inspections and testing.
• Ensure all fire pumps, SCBAs, Cascade Systems, hoses and ladders are tested and inspected annually.
