Job summary

Prince George’s County Government’s Fire/EMS Department seeks a senior-level Special Projects Inspector (Contract Project Coordinator 3H) to review plans, monitor construction projects, and ensure compliance with NFPA 241 and Subtitle 11.

The role combines office and field engineering, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and state agencies, and preparing detailed reports, budgets, and correspondence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of inspection, construction supervision or construction engineering experience.
• Valid Class C driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering and architectural plans to monitor development and fire/EMS construction projects.
• Conduct field visits and progress meetings; review change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and County/state agencies on construction projects.
