Job summary

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department in Largo, MD seeks a Senior Special Projects Inspector (Contract Project Coordinator 3H) to oversee field and office engineering reviews of Fire/EMS construction projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA and county policies.

You will evaluate plans, coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and procurement, review changes, manage documentation, and prepare reports for time-sensitive completion.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Structural or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Three years of experience in inspection, construction supervision or construction engineering.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic on-site field visits to construction projects to monitor progress and compliance.
• Review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates at submission phases to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate data updates for inspection duties with other agencies and serve as custodian of Fire Inspection Records.
