Qualifications

• Three years of experience in servicing, maintenance and repair of fuel and alternative fueled vehicles.
• High school diploma or GED with specialized training in fire apparatus maintenance.
• Valid Class B driver's license; Class A license desirable.
• Certification in Fire Pumps required; Emergency Vehicle Technician certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, and repairs fire apparatus and equipment including aerial ladders and pumps.
• Services, maintains, and repairs fuel, hybrid, and other alternative powered vehicles; diagnoses problems; field service as needed.
• Maintains records and inputs into fleet software systems; attends training on new technology.
