Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 15 college units in Fire Technology/Fire Science or Fire Apparatus Operator 1A certificate.
• Three years of full-time firefighter experience with Oxnard Fire Department.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires and emergencies driving and operating fire apparatus.
• Inspect and maintain fire apparatus and equipment for readiness.
• Provide training to lower level personnel when needed.
• Participate in public fire safety education and community outreach.
• Assist with station tours and public inquiries.
