Join to apply for the Senior Fire Alarm Technician role at Control Systems, Inc.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Control Systems, Inc. (CSI). This role requires expertise in fire alarm systems, low voltage panels, and associated devices, along with strong programming and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include installing systems in medium to large commercial buildings, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality customer support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, low voltage panels, wiring, and related devices.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer support with clear instructions on system operation.
  • Conduct system testing and signal verification for performance and compliance.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and tools.
  • Complete tasks within deadlines, document services, and demonstrate strong work ethics.
  • Lead by example in communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in fire alarm systems and low voltage installations.
  • Knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, CCTV, intercom, access control.
  • Understanding of local and national codes, OSHA, HAZCOM.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex field issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and pass drug screening.
Certifications/Licenses
  • EST 3 or EST 4 Experience.
  • NICET Level II Certification preferred but not required.
  • Relevant product certifications per local and national codes.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to weather, electrical hazards, and challenging environments.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and using ladders or scaffolding.
  • Full-time with on-call flexibility and occasional travel.
