Job summary

CertaSite is seeking a fire alarm and suppression Level II technician in Lafayette, IN with a passion for life safety and customer service. You will perform installation, inspection, testing, and service of fire alarm and engineered suppression systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in fire detection and signaling systems, including field experience and project management.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams and interpret system schematics.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Strong math skills including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Willingness to learn industry software and operate basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and test fire alarm and suppression systems per NFPA codes.
• Program, test, and train customers during installations; troubleshoot and repair.
• Document inspections and repairs accurately.
• Maintain good customer relations and coordinate follow-ups with team.
• Maintain vehicle and tools; ensure safety and readiness for daily tasks.
• Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Work nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Work at heights, ladders, and in confined spaces.
