Job summary

CertaSite is seeking a Level II Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician to perform inspections, installation, testing, service, and repairs of fire alarm and engineered/suppressed systems. The role requires compliance with NFPA standards, strong customer focus, and readiness for overtime and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in fire protection, NICET II certification, and a valid U.S. driver's license.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of fire detection and signaling experience, including at least 12 months on fire alarm systems.
Must be able to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
Proficient with basic computer functions and industry software; learn job-specific tools.
Knowledge of low voltage wiring and ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and test fire alarm and suppression systems per NFPA codes and standards.
Program, test, perform final inspections, create as-built drawings, and train customers.
Document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
Maintain good customer relations and coordinate follow-up with appropriate personnel.
Keep vehicle and tools in good condition and stocked for job duties.
Identify opportunities for additional equipment or services at customer sites.
Adhere to safety program and perform emergency troubleshooting on-site or remotely as needed.
Discuss deficiencies with customers and explain resolutions.
