Essel is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Superintendent / Foreman to lead fire alarm installation on high-level commercial construction projects in the Dallas, TX area.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems, the ability to read and interpret construction plans, and a proven background working on complex commercial projects, particularly hospital and healthcare facilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Fire Protection Superintendent or foreman on large commercial projects.
- Hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm systems.
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm plans and drawings.
- Experience on large-scale commercial projects in the $3M–$5M+ range.
- Hospital/healthcare construction experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise fire alarm installation crews on commercial projects.
- Install, troubleshoot, and oversee fire alarm systems per plans and codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specs.
- Coordinate installation with other trades, project management, and the GC.
- Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Manage field activities, manpower, materials, and progress.
- Support inspections, testing, and system turnover.
- Communicate updates and material needs to management.
