Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Security & Fire Alarm Technician to support new construction and large retrofit projects across Greater Orlando and Central Florida. This hands-on role focuses on installing, programming, testing, and commissioning Fire Alarm and Electronic Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection).

You will read blueprints and drawings, troubleshoot, and coordinate with project managers and customers, while mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security experience
• Hands-on experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection
• Experience with Fire Alarm and Security System Programming
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and Florida Fire Prevention Code
• Ability to read Construction Drawings and Riser Diagrams
• Understanding of IP Networking as it relates to Security Systems
• Florida FASA/BASA License or ability to obtain
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Install, Program, Test, and Commission Fire Alarm and Electronic Security Systems
• Configure CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection Systems
• Read Blueprints, Shop Drawings, Riser Diagrams, and Submittals
• Perform System Testing, Troubleshooting, and Commissioning
• Support AHJ Inspections and Final System Turnover
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Contractors, and customers
• Provide technical guidance to junior Technicians and Apprentices
