Job summary

Talanto is seeking a highly motivated Fire Alarm Consultant to join our Denver, CO team, with potential for remote work for the right candidate. The role focuses on designing, evaluating and consulting on fire alarm systems across project types, with NICET certification as a core requirement.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, and related codes, and will mentor junior staff while collaborating with engineers, architects and AHJs.

Qualifications

• NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in fire alarm consulting, design, or inspection.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC and fire protection engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire alarm and mass notification system consulting and design, including system layout, equipment placement, riser diagrams and sequence of operations.
• Create fire alarm shop drawings and review shop drawing submittal packages by contractors.
• Conduct site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing fire alarm installations.
• Review drawings for code compliance and prepare detailed technical reports and specifications.
