Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Leader 1 with experience in design and implementation for fire alarm systems. You will apply IBC, NEC and NFPA knowledge to projects for facilities and plants.

Responsibilities include managing $500K–$3M contracts with 5–10 staff, leading fire alarm and suppression systems, developing estimates, scheduling, design reviews, ordering equipment, and ensuring pre-testing before site delivery.

Qualifications

7+ years in applications engineering with at least 5 years in project leadership for budget, schedule and delivery.
B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
IBC, NEC and NFPA code knowledge or ability to ramp up quickly.
Excellent communication with customers, management, and partners.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple contracts valued $500K–$3M with 5–10 staff and coordinate with field teams.
Lead fire alarm detection and special suppression systems under design-build or turnkey contracts.
Develop cost estimates and proposals; schedule design and installation kickoff meetings.
Plan projects to meet deadlines; review designs for manufacturing and installation quality.
Order equipment and oversee fabrication of panels; ensure pre-testing before delivery to site.
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and profitability; ensure compliance with codes and permits.
