Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking technicians to install, program and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites, including Simplex, Fike, Kidde and others. You will read blueprints, coordinate with trades, and train customers on operation, while maintaining safety and documentation.

Must have a high school diploma and 3+ years in low voltage systems; the role may require lifting up to 50-70 lbs and occasional overnight travel. An equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum three years' experience with low voltage electrical systems and life-safety systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment and commissioning devices.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites.
• Work with project managers to keep installations on schedule and coordinate with trades.
• Read complex diagrams and manuals; attend site meetings and train customers on operation.
• Maintain safety, complete documentation promptly and participate in on-call rotation.
