Job summary

Fire and Building Code Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer/Inspector to design and review fire alarm systems, perform pre-inspections, and prepare detailed punch-lists for NYC FDNY inspections.

Based in Valley Stream with project sites across the five boroughs, the role requires 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of the 2022 Building Codes, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with clients and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of the 2022 Building Codes.
• 5+ years of fire alarm system inspection experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Perform pre-inspections and create comprehensive punch-lists of deficiencies before FDNY inspection.
• Attend FDNY inspections and address inspector concerns.
• Participate in client meetings to coordinate inspections and requirements.
• Provide support and backup to co-workers.
