Job summary
W3Global is seeking a senior fire alarm estimating designer for projects from bid to acceptance in the Everett, WA area. You will design, program, and commission large commercial systems while supporting project managers and field technicians in design, startup, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, problem-solving skills, and experience with networked systems and local codes, with willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
- Must have NICET Level III certification and FA-1 Seattle certification.
- Extensive NFPA 72 and local code knowledge required.
- Experience designing and programming large commercial fire alarm systems.
- Ability to produce compliant design/submittal packages; AHJ coordination.
- Experience with Siemens or other major fire alarm systems; travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Fire Alarm Estimating: develop accurate takeoffs and labor estimates from plans and specs.
- Fire Alarm System Design: create code-compliant designs, shop drawings, diagrams, and sequences.
- Fire Alarm Programming: program, test, start up, and troubleshoot systems on site.
- Technical Support and Field Operations: mentor field staff and resolve service issues.
