Job summary

Power Design, Inc. seeks an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Designer to be the subject matter expert for design and installation. From our St.

Petersburg, FL headquarters, you will review layouts and drawings, translating them into project requirements and code compliance to ensure safe, high-quality designs. You will lead multiple projects through bidding, design, permitting, and construction. Strong communication with customers, teams, and authorities is essential, as is a customer-focused,

Qualifications

Five+ years of fire alarm system design experience.
NICET certification and strong understanding of high-density, high-rise, and smoke control systems.
Proficient knowledge of local codes (IBC, IECC) and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Coordinate design solutions with industry standards while considering customer needs and budgeting.
Lead and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.
Provide design direction, support, and guidance to all team members.
Communicate effectively with customers, project teams, and inspecting authorities.
