Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for GO Payments, a fully remote role within the continental United States. You will shape architecture for high-volume payment systems, combining hands-on coding with strategic influence across product and engineering domains.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of fintech software experience, strong C#/.NET skills, and proficiency in React/Angular, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across multiple teams or complex systems.
• Extensive fintech experience and payment/transaction processing knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET with scalable production applications.
• Front-end experience with Angular/React/Blazor.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and ORMs like Entity Framework.
• DevOps practices/tools including GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of complex software solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical strategies and production-ready implementations.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and own critical components.
• Promote engineering standards and CI/CD practices across teams.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews and influence technical decisions.
• Identify risks and architectural challenges early and drive resolutions.
• Design secure, PCI-compliant payment and transaction-processing systems.
• Integrate with third-party payment gateways ensuring integrity and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and compliance stakeholders.
