Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Payments Platform to join our team as a leader in Business Services. This role focuses on building and scaling payment systems across the platform and partnering with product and engineering to deliver high-performance solutions that drive growth.

You will provide technical leadership, architect thoughtfully, and strengthen foundational capabilities to help teams move faster and ship with quality. Remote-US based; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of experience in Payments/Fintech preferred.
• Proven technical leadership in project teams and mentoring.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business impact and refine engineering requirements.
• Architect and implement complex features with a focus on performance optimization.
• Advance engineering processes and technical foundations in partnership with other teams.
• Identify patterns for systemic improvements to streamline development and enhance quality.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Payments Platform to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will focus on building and scaling the systems that power payments experiences across the organization’s platform. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that support business growth. The position calls for technical leadership, thoughtful architecture, and a strong ability to improve the foundations that enable teams to move faster and ship with quality.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually
